Pakistan Army Poets Punjabi Poetry.

Poetry is a form of literature that uses rhythmic and aesthetic features of language to inspire meanings. Punjabi Poetry has an important place in the cultures of  Punjab in Pakistan and in Indian Punjab.

Muslim poets write their Punjabi poetry in Persian script, called Shahmukhi script (uttering from the mouth of king). Some famous poets of classical Punjabi poetry were Baba Farid, Waris Shah and Bulleh Shah.

Earlier Punjabi language had no script of its own and was written in Lahnda script or Mahajani script, derived from Sanskrit, which had no vowel sounds, so did not represent all the sounds contained in Punjabi language. The second Sikh Guru Angad Dev invented a new script called Gurmukhi (uttering from the mouth of the guru). It had thirty-five letters in its alphabet to incorporate all the sounds, not found in other languages. Sikhs in India write in Gurmukhi script. Guru Nanak was a famous poet of classical Punjabi poetry.

The Punjabi Hindu poets in India write their Punjabi in Hindi script.

Like civilian poets, there are some good poets in Armed Forces too who write Punjabi Poetry. This Post has a collection of Punjabi poetry written by the poets who have served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
