Demise of Maj Parvez Akhtar 2nd SSC.
Dear Course mates,
Assalamo Alaikum.
It is informed with deepest sorrow that our course mate, PSS-14690 Major Parvez Akhtar (HDR-5 Platoon), Arty, expired in Lahore on 13 Dec 2025 (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون). He had a sudden heart attack, was immediately taken to CMH Lahore but could not survive. His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at his ancestral village Kotla, District Gujrat, on 14 Dec 2017.
May his soul rest in eternal peace at the choicest station in Jannat-ul-Firdous, Aameen. May Allah Almighty also grant his family patience to bear this irreparable loss, Aameen.
He was the first QM of 118 Medium Regt Arty on its raising in 1975. Our course mate Maj Tariq Javaid Chohan (ABD-1) was the first Adjt of the same unit. Maj Parvez has also served as Deputy Zonal Manager CSD Lahore after his retirement.

We are highly grateful to the blog admin for sharing some of the precious memories of our father - Maj (R) Pervez Akhtar SI (M). We are thankful to all of his well wishers for their support at this difficult time.
He was not just a devoted father but an inspirational figure. He brought us up alone after losing his better half in March, 1996. He had his ups and downs but he never lost hope. Today we lost a father, a mother and a friend also.
May ALLAH rest his soul in peace (Ameen). Remember us in your prayers.
