It is informed with deepest sorrow that PSS-14544 Maj Syed Haider, Sindh Regt (SSH-1 Platoon), expired in Islamabad, on 19 July 2015 (إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ). He was living in Islamabad and was bed ridden for quite some time. As he was not in contact with course mates, no one in Islamabad/Rawalpindi came to know about his death. A few days back Maj Zahid Bangish (ABD-2 Platoon) has informed about his death which occurred about a year and a half back.
May Allah grant Maj Syed Haider a prominent place in Junnat-ul-Firdous and provide strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss, Aameen.
His only son, Moiz Syed, lives in Turkey working for Coca-Cola Company. For condolence please contact Moiz Syed at his email address: moiz.syed3@gmail.com
Moiz Syed has described the last days of his father as written below:-
“My father was a strong man with strong will power. He fought through several illnesses, but during his last years he was bed ridden due to spinal cord injury. Due to lack of activity he got weaker physically year on year. That said, having strong faith in Allah he kept his spirits high and kept enjoying life.
Two days before his death, on ‘Chaand raat’, he asked me to take him out. We drove around Islamabad, he loved the lights and festivity, enjoyed the music and came back happy and satisfied. On the 2nd day of Eid, 19th July 2015, he woke up in the morning in a semi unconscious state and within an hour he died due to cardiac arrest”.
Rest in Peace, dear comrade.
