It is informed with deepest sorrow that Maj Khalid Rauf Khan, Arty (SSH-5 Platoon), expired in Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA, on 11 February 2017. He slept at night and was found dead in the morning. He passed away peacefully during his sleep. May his soul rest in eternal peace. May Allah give strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held on 14 Feb 2026 at Ahmadiya Mosque in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.
After his retirement, he taught in LUMS and another university in Lahore. He settled in USA in 2001 and got PhD degree (which subject?).

We are all in the age where the end is much closer than the beginning and as such realise that our inevitable death can be just a breath away. It is indeed the wish of one and all to die peacefully without any suffering and without becoming a burden on anyone. Khalid Rauf was blessed in this and I pray that Allah SWT grant his soul eternal rest in heaven and his family strength and fortitude to bear his loss.
